From the grotto, we made our way to what used to be the London Bridge, or London Arch. It collapsed on January 15, 1990. Rumor has it that the collapse left a couple stranded on the far side of the collapse. It took some time for the onlookers to convince the police that it had collapsed and there was a couple stranded. Unfortunately, by the time the police sent a rescue helicopter, the news had already arrived. The couple were engaged in an extramarital affair and their spouses saw them on the news.
