The Great Ocean Road - Lorne Parrots

From there it was on to Jack and Clelia's vacation house.  There was a LOT of parrots in the area.  Roberto gave us some bird seed and we spent an hour or so feeding them that night, and then again in the morning.  They were friendly enough to eat out of your hand, but took off the minute you tried to pet them.  The Cockatoos were a little less friendly.  It took a lot more coaxing to get them to eat out of our hands.

More Australia pictures to come......

The Great Ocean Road - To Lorne

We made our way inland at this point to try to make it to the Otway Skywalk, but were just short of making it on time.  On our way Lorne, we stopped and photographed some Kangaroos and Koalas.

Next post, the parrots of Lorne!

The Great Ocean Road - The Twelve Apostles

The next stop was the Twelve Apostles.  The Twelve Apostles are disappearing.  Erosion created them and erosion is destroying them.  According to Wikipedia, the Apostles may be gone by 2012.  When we arrived, we could see the next wave of rain coming.  We made a quick walk to the shore and snapped a couple of pictures before it started raining.  Then we made a quicker walk back to the car in the rain.

The drive to Lorne.

The Great Ocean Road - The Razorback

Onward to the Razorback.  The pictures will explain why.

On to the Twelve Apostles.

The Great Ocean Road - Loch Ard Gorge

From the London Bridge we made our way to Loch Ard Gorge.
